State Candidates
As a candidate for State Office I, ____________________________, pledge to the citizens of Illinois that I shall vote on all legislation in accordance with the following principles:
1. I pledge to uphold the Illinois Constitution and to protect it from encroachment by the federal government
2. Balance the budget with spending cuts and not new taxes
3. Protect life and strengthen the traditional family
4. Implement rules to require a three-fifths vote to pass a tax increase
5. Place all expenditures online for public review
6. Place personal income tax returns online for all paid elected officials
7. Utilize ALL our natural resources to lower energy costs and reduce our dependence on foreign energy supplies
8. Not infringe upon the right to keep and bear arms
9. Improve education by funding children, not bureaucracies
10. End the pay to play political system
11. Ask is the legislation Constitutional before deciding how to vote
12. Will meet regularly with constituents
13. Reform the property tax system
14. Lower taxes and fees to encourage entrepreneurship and business growth within the state
15. Convert pension system to define contribution instead of defined benefit
